To be eligible to enroll in Making Cents, you must have a Cornerstone Bank RITE Premium, RITE Extra, RITE Student, Basic, or Workplace checking account, be enrolled in online banking, and have a Cornerstone Bank Statement Savings, Holiday Savings Plan, or Moola Savings account.

Steps to Start Making Cents

Enroll

Login to online banking and navigate to Additional Services. Select the Making Cents Opt-In secure form from the list.

If you do not have an online banking login, please chat with us or call us at 800-939-9103.

Shop

Use your card for everyday purchases just like you normally would. Shop for groceries, coffee, gas, online purchases, and anything else you always buy.

Save

Watch your savings grow! We’ll automatically round up your purchases to the nearest dollar amount and transfer the extra cents from your checking account to your savings account.

Where can I find the secure form to enroll in Making Cents?

Login to online banking, select the menu in the top right corner, select Banking Services, select Additional Services, then select Making Cents Opt-In. Complete the form and click submit.

How long does it take to be enrolled once I submit my secure form?

All forms are processed within 1-3 business days of being received.

How do I know that I am enrolled in Making Cents?

After you have submitted the Making Cents Opt-In secure form within online banking, you will receive a secure message indicating you have been enrolled in Making Cents.

Once enrolled in Making Cents, how will this show up in my transaction history?

At the end of every day, all round up amounts will be added up and transferred at once. For example, if you make three purchases, $3.40, $2.50, $55.61, at the end of the day you will see one transfer from your checking to your savings account in the amount of $1.49.

How will Making Cents show up on my statements?

On your statements, you will see a dollar amount that equals all of the round up amounts for each day. The transfer description will be labeled as Making Cents.

What savings accounts can I link to?

You can link a Statement Savings, Holiday Savings Plan or a Moola Savings account.

Will Making Cents make my account reach zero or go into the negative?

Purchases will not be rounded up if it makes your account reach zero or go into the negative. For example, if you have $139.45 in your account and you spend $139.05. Your purchases would not round up to $140 and put your account in the negative. In this instance, rounding up would not take place.

Will all purchases be rounded up?

Yes, once enrolled in Making Cents, rounding up occurs with every point-of-sale transaction you make. The exception is if rounding up makes your account reach zero or go into the negative. In this case, rounding up does not occur.

Will any payments in bill pay be rounded up?

No. Any payments that are scheduled in bill pay will not be rounded up.

*To enroll in Making Cents you must be enrolled in online banking, have an eligible Cornerstone Bank checking account, and an eligible Cornerstone Bank savings account. Eligible checking accounts: RITE Premium, RITE Extra, RITE Student, Basic, and Workplace checking. Eligible savings accounts: Statement Savings, Holiday Savings Plan, and Moola Savings. Upon enrollment, we will round up your purchases to the nearest dollar and transfer the difference from your checking account to your savings account. Purchases will not be rounded up if it makes your account reach zero or go into the negative. If a debit card purchase is subsequently reversed, the corresponding round-up transfer will remain in the designated savings account.
