Conversion Weekend May 15th – 18th.

At the start of 2026, Athol Savings Bank officially merged with Cornerstone Bank, marking a new beginning and creating a bright future for both our bank and customers alike. We are excited to bring together two community-focused banks to offer you more convenience, more choices, and more ways to manage your banking.

While Athol Savings Bank was renamed Athol Savings Bank, A Division of Cornerstone Bank on January 1, 2026, the operating systems of the two banks were not combined at that time.

From May 15th – 18th, we will be upgrading your banking platforms, and all Athol Savings Bank accounts will convert to Cornerstone Bank accounts. Our goal is to make this process as seamless and straightforward as possible.

Q. Will branch locations change?

All five Athol Savings Bank branches will remain open as Athol Savings Bank, A Division of Cornerstone Bank locations. You will also gain access to 12 additional Cornerstone Bank branches.

Q. Will my deposits remain FDIC and DIF insured?

Yes. Your accounts remain insured up to applicable FDIC limits. In addition, your deposits are fully insured under DIF.

Q. When can I start visiting Cornerstone Bank branches, drive-up video tellers, and ATMs?

Starting Monday, May 18th, you’ll have full access to all of your accounts at any Cornerstone Bank branch, ATM, Drive-Up Video Teller, and Online and Mobile Banking.
