Cornerstone Bank announced a donation of $5,000 to support the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Children and Families Youth Financial Education Expo, a one day intensive program for youth in foster care focused on building essential financial skills.
Cornerstone Bank will serve as a Platinum Sponsor for the event, which will be held at the Marriott in Marlborough and is expected to welcome up to 100 youth participants. The donation will help cover the cost of food throughout the day and a one hour after party, as well as raffle prizes that encourage full participation in the program.
“This expo gives young people practical tools and confidence around managing money, which can have a lasting impact well beyond the event itself,” said Todd Tallman, CEO of Cornerstone Bank. “We are proud to support an initiative that helps foster youth take meaningful steps toward financial independence.”
The expo will feature hands on instruction and individualized support as participants learn to use financial apps and set up accounts. Don Mancini will serve as the primary presenter, building on his previous work delivering financial education programs to youth in foster care.
