Cornerstone Bank’s Charitable Donations Committee is proud to announce its recent donation of $1,000 to the Kennedy-Donovan Center (KDC). This donation will help the Center purchase sensory equipment for their South Central Early Intervention Program located in Southbridge, MA.
The KDC is a non-profit human service agency serving families in eastern and central Massachusetts and northern Connecticut. The KDC provides a wide range of programs, including in-home services to support children, adolescents and adults with developmental delays, disabilities or family challenges.
The South Central Early Intervention (EI) Program has offered early intervention services since 1992 and consists of 55 staff members. EI coordinates services to families with children from birth to 3 years of age who may have developmental delays or whose circumstances put them at risk for developmental delays. The sensory equipment purchased will be utilized by the EI program’s Occupational Therapists during home visits; each therapist will receive a “Mobile Sensory Kit” that includes the most commonly used tools.
“We are pleased to assist the South Central Early Intervention Program with purchasing the sensory equipment needed to improve the lives of children and families in our community,” stated Cornerstone Bank Chairman & CEO K. Michael Robbins.
